APARTMENT IN ealing village, LONDON
OPEN-PLAN LIVING & DINING
- The brief was to create an eclectic living and dining space featuring soft neutral walls layered with warm, rich tones throughout. The clients wished to retain their existing dining table, so we refreshed the look with new dining chairs that better complemented the overall design scheme and enhance the flow of the space. They asked for 4-6 people to eat around but we managed 8 people, what a bonus!
BEDROOM
- Limited space and no room for a traditional bed and headboard, we designed a bespoke feature wall with contemporary panelling to create visual impact. Oversized bedside tables were incorporated to continue the vertical lines providing valuable additional storage. We also incorporated an L-shaped wardrobe using Ikea's modular system, leaving just enough walkway and maximising every inch of the room.
BOY'S ROOM
-Biggest challenge was maximising storage while accommodating a cot bed and changing table with a compact 2.2m x 2.3m footprint. The result is a practical and highly functional space with ample storage, while still feeling light, airy, and super cute.
BABY'S ROOM
-An even greater challenge due to its smaller size, this room required a carefully considered layout. We utilised full- height, reduced-depth storage solutions to maximise capacity while preserving floor space. This allowed us to incorporate a cot bed, a changing station above a chest of drawers, and a small accent chair, creating a room that is both functional and welcoming.
MULTI-FUNCTIONAL ROOM (guest bedroom, playroom, exercise room & dressing room)
-Although generous in size, this room needed to accommodate multiple functions without feeling cluttered. We selected a beautiful compact sofa bed upholstered in warm kingfisher velvet and paired it with modular storage to provide plenty of organisation. The result is a versatile, practical, and inviting space that seamlessly adapts to the family's changing needs.
